Brooklyn took LeVert, a 6-7 shooting guard who played four seasons with the Wolverines, with the 20th pick in the NBA Draft. Plenty of people say he’d have been a lottery pick if he didn’t have a history of foot injuries — but he does, so he slid . It’s a good risk for the Nets, who probably won’t have a first-round pick until 2045.
“That’s the way it’s going to be sometimes,” coach John Beilein told MLive.com . “I choose to think that this is going to be one of the best stories ever told when he has a great NBA career and it all works out and he has his degree.”
